JOB OPPORTUNITY

JOB TITLE: Receptionist/Clerk

SITE LOCATION OF POSITION: Standard Elementary School

TERM/HOURS OF POSITION: 8 Hours Per Day

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Is directly responsible to building principal. Assists school secretary; processes the entering and exiting of students; inputs, compiles, and verifies student computerized attendance and creates attendance-related reports; word processes or types and files letters and reports; greets the public; communicates effectively on the telephone, and performs other routine school-related clerical functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current typing certificate (within one year of application) for 35 WPM is required, knowledge of techniques and strategies to effectively communicate with the public, ability to utilize technology for attendance reports and other student related reports, organize and file documents/reports,

SALARY: Range 14, Step 1: $20.10 per hour

SCREENING PROCEDURES: Review of applications and personal interviews.

OTHER COMMENTS: The applicant selected will be required to successfully complete a pre-placement medical assessment, TB clearance, and fingerprint clearance before being hired as a probationary employee.
