About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead its Human Resources Department and DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access) strategies. The CPO will be a senior executive and trusted advisor, responsible for overseeing all HR functions, providing strong leadership to the HR team, and championing the institution's core values. This role is pivotal in ensuring the attraction, retention, and support of a diverse workforce that thrives in a respectful and equitable workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in integrating DEIA into an organization's people strategy, culture, and operations, and will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and impeccable integrity. Candidates for the CPO position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' leadership experience, with a focus on DEIA strategy, and at least 10 years' in cultural institutions, higher education, or other nonprofit organizations. The role requires a leader who can develop and lead a centralized DEIA office, collaborate across all departments, and ensure that equity is incorporated into all aspects of the institution. A Master's degree is strongly preferred, and the candidate must be a proactive individual with a positive attitude, capable of building strong relationships and influencing at all levels. The CPO will be expected to uphold the professional standards of the field, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to the institution's code of conduct and all relevant policies.
