Description Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department is seeking to hire 2 Buildings and Historic Preservation Seasonal Staff. The position is hourly, non-benefited, and will work 40 hours per week from Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. The role is based at 5201 Saint Vrain Rd., Longmont, Colorado. Boulder County requires employees to reside in Colorado as of the first day of work. The hiring salary is $25.00 per hour. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and construction projects on properties administered by the Parks & Open Space Department. Assist the Buildings and Historic Preservation team with maintenance‑focused tasks and duties related to repair and new construction plans. Perform skilled and semi‑skilled tasks using hand tools, power tools, and various equipment as necessary. Maintain strong safety awareness in the field by following protocols, identifying hazards, and promoting safe work practices. Use park‑specific software and applications, including an Asset Management System, to document, track, and report field work. Conduct routine inspections of park‑related infrastructure and facilities. Support operations by preparing and organizing project materials, resources, and equipment assigned by full‑time staff. Perform related duties as required. May be reassigned during emergency situations. Qualifications No formal education or experience is required. Background Check A job offer is contingent on passing a background investigation. Pre‑employment Physical Candidates will be required to successfully complete a pre‑employment physical. Preferred Qualifications Carpentry, general construction, mechanical aptitude, independent thinking, remodel and/or historic preservation experience.
