Urology APP opening in Connecticut Plainfield - 50 miles from Hartford Position Details Full-time, permanent NP or PA Shift: Full Time, Monday Ai Friday Position Details: Provides direct patient care in office consultations, including assessment, work-ups, triage, emergency work-ins, and other patient care activities, with a focus on kidney stones and general urologic conditions. Obtains and documents health history, performs physical exams, and orders and interprets diagnostic tests. Provides counseling to patients regarding diagnosis and expected course of treatment. Collaborates with physicians to provide appropriate direct care interventions within scope of practice. Collects, organizes, records, and discusses data using sound clinical judgment based on best practice standards and evidence-based medicine. Prescribes pharmaceuticals according to patient needs and conducts follow-up and outreach. Ensures timely retrieval of laboratory and ancillary studies and diagnostic consultation reports. Consults with internal and external staff to make appropriate referrals for acute, chronic, and preventive care. Coordinates patient care and visits with appropriate clinical and non-clinical staff. Qualifications: National Certification in Advanced Practice with current CPR certification. Current Connecticut APRN license with prescriptive authority and DEA number.
