Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 05/04/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 4x12 hour day shifts (48 hours per week) • Patient ratio 1:6-7 utilizing team nursing model (split caseload between 2 RNs, LPN & Med Nurse) • Care for adults and geriatrics on 45-bed unit with daily census of 30-35 patients • Primary focus on surgical oncology patients with medical oncology overflow and medical-surgical overflow • Work with patients with central lines (PAC, PICC lines, and midlines) • Perform wound care, drains, ostomies, and Foley care • Manage PCA pumps and assist with chemotherapy administration (ONS nurses only) • On-call and weekend coverage as needed • Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles when necessary • Must work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment • Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS • Skills required: IV START, Administer Chemo, Conscious Sedation • 2 years recent experience minimum (3 years preferred) • Level I Trauma experience required • Travel experience required • Large hospital experience required • Must live at least 100 miles from facility • Cerner experience preferred • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Facility: This facility is a Level I Trauma Center providing short-term acute care services. The medical-surgical telemetry unit features comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility maintains strict standards and policies for travel nurses and operates with limited phlebotomy coverage during night shifts.
