Travel Consultant The role invites a passion for travel and the skill set to connect travelers with the world, delivering personalized travel solutions from international and domestic itineraries, cruises, land packages, air, car, and hotel bookings. Responsibilities Sells travel packages, guides clients in selecting appropriate travel options. Shares knowledge from personal experiences and/or educational study trips. Builds long‑standing relationships with members; develops referral and repeat business. Recommends tailored travel experiences that exceed expectations. Cross‑sell relevant products such as the AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identify theft protection. Participates in continuous learning and meets performance goals, which may lead to leadership opportunities. Qualifications High school diploma required; preference for 2‑ or 4‑year college degree. Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening. Minimum 2 years of successful retail sales, banking, or leisure travel agency experience within a goal‑oriented environment. Available to work most Saturdays and some evenings. Computer savvy: navigation of multiple systems, web browsers, Microsoft Office, typing at least 30WPM. Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational skills; able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Strong sales drive, self‑motivated to exceed sales goals. Compensation & Benefits Hourly start rate of $23.50; average salary after training ranges from $67,300 to $82,300 with uncapped incentives.
