This role requires someone who can think strategically while executing tactically—translating evolving operational needs into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.The ideal candidate is comfortable working in dynamic mission environments, enjoys collaborating across technical and operational teams, and understands how individual efforts contribute to broader organizational objectives. This position supports sensitive national security programs and requires a current TS/SCI security clearance. Candidates with an active CI Polygraph are strongly preferred; however, qualified candidates who are eligible and willing to obtain a CI Polygraph are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Solves complex technical challenges with a systems-thinking mindsetUnderstands how disparate systems, people, and processes work together to achieve mission successDevelops practical, scalable, and maintainable technical solutionsCommunicates effectively across engineering, operations, and leadership teamsProduces high-quality technical documentation that enables long-term system sustainmentIdentifies opportunities for automation, integration, and continuous improvementRemains effective in environments with evolving priorities while keeping strategic objectives at the forefrontOperates with professionalism, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to protecting sensitive national security informationQualifications:Required: Active TS/SCI security clearance with active CI Polygraph or the ability and willingness to obtain a CI PolygraphBachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)Available to work in-person in an office environment at CACI facilities in Sterling, VA or Denver, CO5+ years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, systems integration, solution architecture, or related technical disciplines3+ years of experience with mission management applications or enterprise data integrationDemonstrated ability to solve complex technical and operational problemsExperience integrating software applications, enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and distributed technologiesExperience with system testing and familiarity with automated application testing frameworksStrong understanding of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycleExperience designing or implementing automation that improves operational efficiency and reduces manual effortStrong technical writing skills with experience producing architecture documentation, interface control documents, system diagrams, procedures, and engineering artifactsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to rapidly adapt to changing priorities while maintaining alignment with strategic mission objectivesDemonstrated ability to independently prioritize work, manage multiple efforts, and deliver high-quality solutions in dynamic environmentsExperience with Agile development methodologies and the Atlassian Suite tools (Jira, Confluence)Desired:Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of War (DoW) organizationsFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWSFamiliarity with PowerShell, JavaScript, Java, or similar programming and scripting languagesFamiliarity with REST APIs, microservices, message queues, and distributed system architecturesKnowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), enterprise architecture, or digital engineering practicesFamiliarity with AI-enabled decision support, advanced analytics, or data engineering solutionsSecurity+ or other relevant technical certifications are a plus-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
