Marshfield Clinic – Marshfield Children’s is seeking a dedicated Senior Pharmacy Technician to support our pediatric patients and families within our integrated Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists to perform advanced technical duties that ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication preparation and distribution. You will compound and dispense medications using established protocols, accurately process and fill medication orders, manage inventory and automated dispensing systems, and assist with sterile and non-sterile product preparation in accordance with USP standards and state and federal regulations. As a senior-level technician, you will serve as a resource and role model for other technicians, helping to train, mentor, and support team members, and you will collaborate closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize medication safety and support excellent clinical outcomes for pediatric patients. Working in a collaborative, patient-first culture, you will be expected to maintain exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and safety in all aspects of the medication-use process. You will utilize pharmacy information systems and electronic health records to enter and verify medication data, resolve order discrepancies, and respond promptly to medication-related requests from clinical staff. You will assist with medication reconciliation, returns, and waste management, and participate in quality assurance activities, such as medication audits, inventory checks, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing errors and improving workflow. The Senior Pharmacy Technician will also help maintain compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and internal policies, including proper documentation, storage conditions, and handling of controlled substances.
