Job Description

Role: Scrum Master

Location: Pleasanton, CA or Remote

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master with strong expertise in Agile methodologies and hands-on experience with Jira.
The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement.
Experience in the healthcare domain is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and Scrum framework
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
Manage and optimize workflows using Jira (boards, dashboards, reports, backlog grooming)
Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a well-defined and prioritized backlog
Identify and remove team impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution
Track and report key Agile metrics such as velocity, sprint progress, and burndown charts
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Ensure effective communication between stakeholders, business teams, and development teams
Support Agile transformation and coach team members on Agile best practices

Required Skills:

Strong experience as a Scrum Master in Agile/Scrum environments
Hands-on expertise in Jira (workflow configuration, dashboards, reporting)
Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to handle multiple teams and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in the healthcare domain (HIPAA, claims, EHR, payer/provider systems, etc.)
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
Experience with Agile scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, etc.)
Familiarity with tools like Confluence or other collaboration platforms
