About the Role
Were seeking a Materials & Inventory Supervisor / Manager to own the inbound material flow, purchasing discipline, and inventory accuracy that keep our production running smoothly.
This leader ensures materials are ordered correctly, received cleanly, and available on timeevery time. Youll oversee Purchasing, Receiving, and Order Entry, driving the structure and reliability needed for uninterrupted production FLOW.
This is a role for someone who doesnt wait for problems to appear you prevent them.
What Youll Own
1. Purchasing Leadership
Lead all purchasing activity across the business
Build disciplined purchasing cycles
Align buying with production demand
Manage vendor performance and drive cost control
2. Inventory Accuracy
Own system and physical inventory accuracy
Eliminate discrepancies, negative inventory, and data errors
Maintain stocking programs and optimal inventory levels
Lead cycle counts and audits
3. Receiving Excellence
Ensure all materials are received and entered accurately
Enforce documentation and part?matching standards
Maintain clean, organized material flow from dock to inventory
4. Material Flow & Production Readiness
Guarantee materials are ready before jobs hit the floor
Coordinate with scheduling and production
Eliminate material?related delays
Provide clear visibility of material status
5. Order Entry Alignment
Ensure clean, accurate order entry
Prevent downstream material or production issues
Maintain reliable system data for planning and reporting
Leadership Responsibilities
Directly manage Purchasing, Receiving, and Order Entry
Set clear expectations for accuracy and speed
Train and develop team members
Hold the team accountable to daily metrics
Remove confusion, redundancy, and process gaps
Process & System Discipline
Enforce standard processes across all material functions
Ensure all material movement is accurately reflected in the system
Identify and eliminate root causes of errors
Maintain clean, reliable data for decision?making
