Job Description Position The mission of the Senior Investment Professional role is to co-lead the Private Credit Secondaries activities, driving the origination, underwriting, and execution of private credit secondary opportunities. This individual will be responsible for shaping and scaling a differentiated global strategy that leverages the firm's market-leading presence in private credit and private markets secondaries. Private Credit Secondaries is embedded in the overall Private Credit business, which is a key strategic growth area of our client.
The Senior Investment Professional will take full ownership of transaction sourcing, underwriting and execution while maintaining deep engagement with our client's broader private markets platform, institutional credit managers, intermediaries, and investors. The role requires a highly entrepreneurial and commercially minded investor who thrives in a high-velocity environment and is motivated by building a category-defining franchise within private credit.
Responsibilities - Deal Sourcing & Origination
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of credit secondary opportunities by identifying attractive private credit managers across the private credit asset class, portfolios, and sellers.
Build differentiated sourcing channels beyond traditional intermediated processes.
- Transaction Leadership
Lead the full lifecycle of execution, from initial evaluation, due diligence and commercial negotiations through closing and portfolio onboarding.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including legal, risk, operations, and program management to ensure efficient and successful deal delivery. - Investment Underwriting
Conduct and direct detailed due diligence including financial modeling, credit analysis, and reference work.
Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda and deliver recommendations to the investment committee. - Stakeholder Representation
Act as a senior-facing ambassador of the strategy, representing the team in market conversations with investors, managers, intermediaries, and advisors.
Advance the firm's broader private credit brand and market penetration efforts.
- Platform Contribution
Provides leadership and strategic execution support across the Private Credit platform. Support adjacent private credit activities including underwriting single borrower credit and manager diligence. Partner with adjacent private markets teams on strategic initiatives.
Contribute to ongoing development of best practices, process improvements, and overall growth initiatives across the platform.
Requirements Qualifications and Competencies - 10+ years of experience in private credit investing and/or secondary transactions.
- Advanced degree (Master's) required, MBA from top institution preferred.
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated client-facing capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to contribute to platform growth and innovation.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented, resourceful, and confident in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial.
