HR Assistant

Rock House provides care and services to individuals with disabilities. Join our HR team assisting with day-to-day operations providing support to the Human Resources department.

Duties:

• Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training
• Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants
• Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities
• Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
• Communicate with public services when necessary
• Assist with initial orientation to newly hired employees
• Performs accounts recordkeeping and other support duties of a confidential nature specific to processing workers' compensation claims and associated payments
• Investigate new claims, authorize, and arrange medical treatment
• Communicate with injured worker, supervisors, Human Resources and Labor regarding benefits, doctor appointments, off work, restricted work and return to work
• Assists employees by answering questions and explaining the workers' compensation processes

Position Requirements: 2-3 years of responsible office experience; HR processes experience preferred; proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook; must have excellent organization, communication, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills; must be self-directed and able to thrive in a demanding setting. Must be at least 20 years old; background check will be completed on potential candidates
