Front Desk Agent -  Aspen Suites Hotel Soldotna

Position Purpose

As the first and last impression of our hotel, our Front Desk Agents play a vital role in creating memorable guest experiences. We're looking for friendly, dependable individuals who enjoy helping others and thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you'll welcome guests, assist with arrivals and departures, answer questions, resolve concerns, and help ensure every stay exceeds expectations.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome every guest with a warm, genuine, and professional greeting.
  • Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
  • Assign guest rooms based on preferences and hotel availability.
  • Create room keys and provide guests with information about the hotel, amenities, and local area.
  • Answer phones and respond to email inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, room changes, and guest requests.
  • Handle payments, post charges, and balance guest accounts accurately.
  • Promote hotel amenities, services, and available upgrades.
  • Respond to guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, working to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Communicate guest needs and important information with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments.
  • Maintain accurate guest records using the property's computer systems.
  • Follow company procedures for cash handling, security, and guest privacy.

Additional Responsibilities

Depending on business needs, you may also:

  • Assist guests with directions, local recommendations, and transportation information.
  • Support hotel marketing or loyalty programs.
  • Assist with package handling and guest deliveries.
  • Cross-train and assist other departments when needed.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by your supervisor.

  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate.

Work Environment

Hospitality is a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week business. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as business demands is required. All associates are expected to follow JL Hospitality Management policies and procedures while contributing to a safe, respectful, and service-focused workplace.
