Job Description
Akkodis is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Allen Park, MI. The ideal candidate with experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software applications while supporting the full software development lifecycle from architecture through deployment .
Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Embedded Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include: - Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using Embedded C and MATLAB to support product functionality and performance requirements.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system testing activities to ensure software quality, reliability, and compliance with technical specifications.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and customer-focused software solutions.
- Perform hardware testing, low-level debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting of embedded systems and software components.
- Support Agile development practices, continuous integration, security standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and development efficiency.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years of hands-on software development experience in embedded systems and application development.
- Strong expertise in Embedded C, MATLAB modeling and development, software architecture, and embedded software testing methodologies.
- Proven experience in unit testing, integration testing, hardware validation, low-level debugging, and delivering high-quality software solutions within Agile development environments.
