ABOUT THE ROLE:
We have a current opening for a Demand Planner and are actively reviewing
applications.
Location: Parsippany, NJ OR Chicago, IL
Hybrid: 3 Days In Office, 2 Days Remote
The Demand Planner is responsible for delivering accurate demand forecasts and
clear business insights that enable strong operational, commercial, and
financial decision making. This role combines analytical rigor with cross
functional collaboration, ensuring the organization has the data visibility
needed to manage inventory, understand performance trends, and proactively
identify risks and opportunities. Key to this role will be enhancing forecasting
accuracy, improving reporting efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement
across the supply chain.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of
aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
• Utilize a collaborative consensus approach by working with sales,
marketing, trade marketing and finance to obtain and ensure that current and
accurate assumptions are used for demand forecasts.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast
data, use statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Track Forecast KPI’s including bias, accuracy and forecast value add. Use
these KPI’s to drive improvements.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and
reliability across all reporting tools.
- Update internal files monthly for the use of the Supply Chain teams.
- Build and enhance reporting templates to support monthly S&OP, executive
reviews, and scenario planning.
• Improve data visualization and storytelling to help stakeholders quickly
understand risks, opportunities, and business drivers.
Activities
• Align on changes to the statistical baseline forecast changes and
enrichments with the Demand Planning Hub.
- Review sales plans, Budget Updates or Latest Estimates and demand drivers.
- Achieve consensus for operative plan by facilitating a collaborative
planning process with sales, marketing and finance personnel:
- Provide input to volume planning (Latest Estimates / annual process)
- Maintain master data and forecasts in demand planning system and software
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
ABOUT YOU:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Operations Planning, Engineering or related
fields
- 1-3 years’ experience with fast moving consumer goods or equivalent
- 1-3 years’ experience in Demand Planning or forecasting role
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Understanding of statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods
- Experience with SAP APO & ECC or similar applications
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation
skills
- Ability to Multi-Task/Good co-ordination and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated capability in problem-solving and establishing priorities.
- Ability to identify and define issues, lead root cause analysis, and
develop and manage corrective action plans
• Ability to work effectively with others

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually. Actual
compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other
job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated
salary for this position at this time.
In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including
health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
