Medical Assembly/ Microscope Assembly TechnicianThis role involves assembling small plastic and electronic components for medical devices, such as hearing aid and pacemaker batteries, while working extensively under a microscope in a clean-room environment. You will use fine motor skills, follow detailed work orders, and complete documentation accurately, contributing to the production of high-quality medical products on either first or second shift.ResponsibilitiesAssemble small plastic and electronic components for hearing aid and pacemaker batteries with a high level of precision.Use a microscope for assembly and quality inspection for up to six hours per shift.Handle tiny parts using tweezers and small hand tools with a steady hand and strong attention to detail.Follow detailed work orders and production instructions accurately.Complete required documentation clearly and accurately in English.Inspect parts under the microscope to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.Work consistently in a clean-room environment and follow all clean-room protocols.Sit for most of the shift while maintaining focus and fine motor control.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth production flow.Participate in overtime work on Saturdays as needed to meet production demands.Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.Essential SkillsWillingness and ability to work under a microscope for extended periods (up to six hours per shift).Proven ability to handle tiny parts under a microscope with a steady hand.Comfort and full awareness of working in a clean-room environment.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read and write in English for work orders and documentation.Consistent and reliable work history demonstrating strong attendance and dependability.Fine motor skills and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.Ability to sit for most of the day while maintaining focus and accuracy.Comfort using tweezers, small hand tools, and other basic assembly tools.Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset for medical assembly work.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with medical assembly or electronic assembly.Experience working in a clean-room environment.Experience using microscopes in a production or laboratory setting.Familiarity with soldering in an electronic or medical device context.Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment.Comfort with repetitive, detail-oriented tasks in a seated position.Why Work Here?You will join a small, friendly team in a modern facility where contractors receive the same respect and inclusion as permanent employees. Many employees have been with the organization for over 15 years, contributing to a stable and collaborative atmosphere. Shifts include a first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with overtime on Saturdays, and a second shift from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with overtime on Saturdays. The role is primarily seated and involves extensive microscope use and fine manual work with small tools in a controlled, safety-focused environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arden Hills, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.80 - $18.80/hr.
